Same dragon.
Different motion.
Watch six models animate the same blue dragon. Each video card shows what this test looked like and an estimated price for a four-second clip. Compare the motion, image quality, and price to decide what suits your creation.
How much does it move?
Some clips have a small blink and head turn; others add more visible action. Play each one to see which style you prefer.
Does it still look like your image?
Notice the face, colors, and lighting. If you want to repeat the clip, watch for a jump when it returns to the first frame.
What does your clip need?
These examples use 480p except MiniMax H3 at 768p. More pixels and longer durations usually cost more; explore the price table below.
One dragon, six takes
All clips use the same dragon picture and “thinking” request. Four Atlas clips and the earlier fal clip are 480p; MiniMax H3 is 768p. Each video is one real result.

What each service lists
These are published video sizes and duration ranges, not proof that one model looks better. The 768p H3 sample has more pixels than the 480p samples.

Sizes shown in the samples
- 480p · tested: four Atlas models and the earlier fal Seedance 2.5 clip. Watch the motion and lighting in each; the clips differ even at the same size.
- 768p · tested: MiniMax H3’s dragon moves its head and gaze. Its extra pixels make sharpness harder to compare directly with the 480p clips.
- 720p and 1080p · prices listed: these sizes appear in the provider rate cards, but we did not make matching sample clips at those sizes.
Beyond 1080p
- 2K: H3 lists this tier on both providers. Atlas’s price matches fal’s $0.13/s; visual quality remains untested here.
- 1440p: Atlas Mini, Seedance 2.0, 2.5, and Wan list SR/ESR outputs. They are enhanced images, not direct evidence of extra generated detail.
- 4K: Atlas Seedance 2.0 and fal Seedance 2.0 list native 4K. Atlas Seedance 2.5 and Wan list 4K ESR; fal H3 lists 4K. None was rendered in this study. The 960×960 source cannot verify true 4K scene detail, so a future test should inspect texture, silhouette stability, temporal flicker, and the 4K invoice before marketing it as higher quality.
Pick the result you like
There is no winner for every picture. A clip that suits a subtle loop may not suit a lively character animation.
Watch for the details you care about
Play the videos and compare how much the dragon moves, whether its face stays familiar, and whether the light changes when the clip loops. The notes below each video describe only this sample.
